Why Cosmic Stillness Exists

I've always believed that nature offers something we rarely find in everyday life—stillness. Through mountains, forests, rivers, wildlife, and night skies, I began discovering moments that felt larger than the places themselves. Cosmic Stillness grew from that experience. It is my way of sharing not only what I saw, but what those moments awakened in me.

“One quiet photograph changed the way I saw the world.”

My Journey

I live in North Carolina, where weekends often find me wandering national parks, quiet forests, coastlines, and dark skies with a camera in hand.

My relationship with photography began unexpectedly.

One evening, I looked up and saw a delicate crescent Moon resting beside the Pleiades. I raised my iPhone, took a simple photograph, and something about that moment stayed with me. It felt as though that quiet moment was inviting me to look more closely—not just at the sky, but at the world itself.

That single image sparked a curiosity I couldn't ignore. Soon afterward, I picked up my first dedicated camera, a Canon R7, and began exploring the world through a lens.

I had very little experience, yet each outing felt guided by a quiet sense of wonder. Photography stopped being about creating beautiful images. It became a way of paying attention—to light, to silence, and to the moments that often pass unnoticed.
